Dance & Performing Arts Studio

Miss Shevon grew up in Louisiana where she began her dance training and also performed with the Evangeline Dance Company under the direction of Larry Constantine.  Shevon has studied with prominent professionals around the country throughout her career and began teaching at the age of sixteen.   She brings forty plus years of dance experience and instruction to our studio. She acquired her dance certification in her early years with Dance Educators of America. She owned her own dance studio in Louisiana for six years and moved to Texas in 1993 where her studio “Dance Moves” was established for 14 years.  Over the years, Shevon has taught many students throughout the Houston area.  She is a certified Stott Pilates Instructor, Total Barre Instructor, Social Dance Instructor, and Health and Wellness Coach.

She joined the Boni’s Family in 2013 and taught ballet, tap, jazz, and was also part of the office staff for 5 yrs.  She then moved to California for her husband’s job where she taught dance at Marin Dance Theatre (a pre-professional school) during her time there.  Now back in Houston, Shevon is looking forward to seeing and teaching old and new students at Boni’s once again.

Over the years, Shevon has written for Dance Life Magazine and was a guest performer and speaker for DanceLife Teacher Conference. She has been a consultant and choreographer to area dance studios. Shevon and her husband now reside in Houston.  They love to travel and spend time with their four grown children and five grand-children.
