Madeline Aldana
Madeline Aldana is a 21 year old dancer, teacher, and choreographer who grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana. She studied dance for 17 years under the instruction of Kelly Fortier and Jemina Hart at Apetrei Dancecenter. While dancing with the resident company, Ballet Apetrei, she took part in Regional Dance America festivals for 5 years. She has attended summer programs through International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi and the American Ballet Theatre's collegiate intensive in New York City. Madeline was the recipient of the RDA Southwest Region’s dancer scholarship to the National Choreographer’s Intensive in 2016, hosted at Florida State University. She was one of 10 individuals chosen to attend the 2019 National Choreographer’s Intensive, held at Sam Houston State University, as an emerging choreographer; from this program, Madeline was one of the 2019 recipients of RDA’s Choreography Connection award. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University for a year before transferring to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Madeline is currently in her Junior year of college and is on track to earn her BFA in dance performance with a teaching certification in Pilates.
