Julia Register
Julia Mary Register began dancing at the age of four with her two sisters when living in Maine. She primarily focused on ballet and was a bunhead from the beginning. In high school, she was part of her studio’s main company that trained extensively six days a week. During that time, Julia Mary added classes in jazz, modern, tap, contemporary, and ballroom. Her senior year she had the opportunity to perform in the Moscow Ballet’s Nutcracker as a supernumerary. Julia Mary continued dancing in college where she majored in Dance at Messiah University in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. There she had the opportunity to choreograph for productions each semester and collaborate with fellow artists.
Following graduation in May 2022, Julia Mary moved to The Woodlands area to dance with Open Sky Dance Collective. When she isn’t teaching or dancing, Julia Mary is a freelance writer for Dance Magazine where she combines her passions for dance and journalism. Ever since high school, Julia Mary has loved teaching and has been instructing for 4+ years. During college, she taught ballet, modern, ballroom, jazz, and tap and she is excited to continue teaching at Boni’s this year!
