Bliss Clark
Bliss Clark grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and began her Ballet training at the age of five, at a local studio. She transitioned to the Von Heidecke Dance Centre, at 10 years of age, and trained there throughout her teens. She became a member of the Chicago Festival Ballet, performing roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sylvia, Giselle, and other choreographic works by Kenneth Von Heidecke. After attending BalletMet Columbus' summer intensive, Ms. Clark was invited to stay for the year round BalletMet school on partial scholarship. She feels fortunate to have received training under Dmitri Suslov (Vaganova), Susan Dromisky (Canada), Susan Brooker (ABT), Edwaard Liaang (NYCB), Maria Glimcher (Modern), Chrissy Stridsberg (Jazz), and other gifted instructors. Ms. Clark began her teaching career at the age of fifteen, and loves to teach the artistic fulfillment of ballet to her students. Ms. Clark relocated to the Houston area in October 2014 with her family, and began to assist at Boni's Dance in January of 2016. She's very excited to be teaching at Boni’s Dance! She is honored to have received her certification in the Progressing Ballet Technique, a method innovated by Marie Walton-Mahon, in April of 2017. Ms. Clark continues to dance and is currently working towards her college degree in art.
